It was a wonderful day for a party! 42 members and guests gathered around the beautiful birthday cake to reminisce about the
great years behind us, and plan for good times ahead. The party was a team effort. The invitations were designed by 1st Vice-Pres.,
Roxanne Donahey, and e-mailed by Membership Chair, Meg McVey. The birthday cake was baked by 2nd Vice-President, Donna
Dupuy. It was delicious! Our Hospitality Chair, Carla Evans, and her special assistant, Bente Sivertsen, baked cookies, prepared tea
sandwiches, and poured wonderful punch and iced tea. The table flowers were arranged by Juanita Blumberg, and the corsage and
nosegays for honorees were provided by Cullen Schneider of Fairwinds Florist. President, Don Church, spoke about the long history of
the club, and awarded Certificates of Appreciation to 25 year and 20 year members.
Our Guest of Honor, Ellen Anthony, was unable to attend at the last minute, but Juanita Blumberg read an accolade to Ellen (see
next page,) and presented a framed Commemorative Certificate to her later that afternoon.
