Blue Hill Beautification Projects
1998 - 2008
In 1998, the Club replaced the old
blacktop entry terrace and walkway
with new brick. Four new benches were
placed to invite visitors to linger, along
with large flower urns that the Club
maintains.  We also planted two
beautiful crabapple trees on the front
lawn. The project took more than three
years to complete, and was funded by
our 1993 Blue Hill Garden Tour.
The Club planted and maintains this
small planting at the Blue Hill Public
Library.
The Triangle in the center of Blue Hill
is another ongoing project of the Club.
The bench provides another resting
spot for visitors and townspeople.
The Club places garlands on the Main
Street bridge in winter.
The Horton Emerson Waterside Park
was a major project of the Club.
The Club commissioned this replica
wrought-iron fence for the Seaside
Cemetery in Blue Hill.
This bust of Native American, Molly
Molasses, was purchased and placed
in the garden of the Holt House, Blue
Hill historic site, by the Club.
